Pediatric Urology Clinic

The Pediatric Urology Clinic at Elofok Medical Center provides special care for children with Urinary System health problems, whether they are congenital defects discovered during pregnancy or after birth, or problems that occur during childhood years. These problems may include:

1-      Kidney, bladder, and ureteral stones.

2-      Hernias.

3-      Daytime and nighttime pediatric urinary incontinence.

4-      Urinary tract infections.

5-      Ureteropelvic junction obstruction.

6-      Hypospadias, a condition where the opening of the urethra is not at the tip of the penis."

7-      Epispadias.

8-      Undescended testicle.

9-      Vesicoureteral reflux (the backward flow of urine from the bladder to the kidneys).

10-   Kidney & bladder tumors in children.

11-   Testicular tumors.

12-   Reconstruction of the urinary system.

13-   Ureterovesical junction obstruction.

To provide comprehensive care to our patients, the center is equipped with a Urodynamic unit that tests the ability of bladder to hold & empty Urine steadily and completely, & help evaluating cases of urinary incontinence in children. We also have an Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) unit for breaking up kidney and bladder stones with a non-invasive, limited intervention approach, with ultrasound guidance to avoid exposure to radiations.
